At Oasis Academy Ryelands we teach an exciting and creative curriculum. Our aim is to encourage our learners to achieve their very best and to ensure they develop their skills and talents in all aspects of intellectual, social and physical development.

The curriculum is divided into the following stages:
Early Years Foundation Stage
Nursery (3-4 years)
Reception (4-5 years)
The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is divided into seven areas of learning and development. These valuable experiences give the children a secure foundation in learning which support their future school career.

- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design.
Key Stage 1
Years 1 and 2 (5-7 years)

Key Stage 2
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (8-11 years)
In Year 1 children move to the Primary Curriculum which includes the core areas of learning and experience which are essential to a child’s development and are defined within the National Curriculum. The learning environment is also carefully planned to support the learning and teaching so that children can become independent and motivated learners, who fulfil their true potential.
The Core and National Curriculum subjects at Ryelands are made up of:

- Personal, Social, Citizenship and Health Education

We teach these subjects through a topic-based curriculum that encompasses the National Curriculum. Children may be withdrawn from Religious Education at the parent/ carers written request. We provide high levels of enjoyment and creativity so that children are inspired to learn.
