Volunteering
Oasis Academies aim to be more than just schools. We aim to become true learning Hubs within the communities we serve. To make this a reality, we strive to include and involve as many members of the community as possible in what we do.
The Academy is keen to engage members of the community in every aspect of our work. A wide range of volunteers are already involved with the Academy and its community programmes every day. We wouldn't be able to run all our services if it wasn't for the commitment of volunteers and we are always looking for more help. The team is growing and you too could make a real difference to the local services we offer.
Oasis believes that volunteering is a two-way commitment and we offer people the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and gain vital work experience. We offer great training opportunities and you will play a real part in the development of our projects.
The following are just some examples of the work that our volunteers currently help us with:
- Literacy & Classroom Support for Students
- Childcare Support
- Family & Parenting Support Work
- Support for our Adults with Learning Disabilities Programme
- Youth Services - supporting Youth Clubs, Holiday Activities and Youth Workshops
We would love you to be involved in the life of the Academy. Whether you have a few hours or a few weeks to give, there's loads you can get involved in.
Why not come and join us and learn what a great sense of purpose and achievement can be derived from volunteering.
